Happy 4th of July ~ or ~ Common Sense v2.0

There is a revolution on the horizon, and I truly hope it’s a peaceful one, yet….has anyone else made the connection that setting laws regarding weapons & ammunition limitations for civilians is, in essence, removing all possibility of the people being able to fight back? (I’m not talking about guns for gang members, crazys & postal workers, either, so don’t start on me about that.)

Two-hundred + years ago, our aggressors made the mistake of not regulating gun powder supplies, not making us register our weapons, not penalizing us for gathering rainwater and not forcing us to obtain a license to hunt to feed our families.

And chew on this: Just imagine if Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin (and the others) had cell phones and computers, and King George III had access to all their communique?

"Verily, Thomas, the draft of your document speaks our rights as an independent country well. This should be signed immediately."

Many laws have been changed and improvements made in Great Brittan since those days, and here we are – The United States of America, two-hundred years later, trying to get back to where we were when law-makers were concerned about retaining the people’s liberties (and subject to those same laws.)

Aside from the inability to defend our homes, our families and the restrictions put upon us when we wish to hunt for food, there will be other ways they will try to control us: Cut off our communications, shut down our water & power, raise fuel to astronomical prices so there’s no way of stockpiling, freeze our bank accounts. Even now our constitutional rights are being chipped away at, and someday, there will be nothing left.

Another thing to note: “The U.S. Declaration of Independence states that ‘when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government’ (emphasis added). Martin Luther King likewise held that it is the duty of the people to resist unjust laws.” Read full Wikipedia article here

I wonder just how far it will be taken when the U.S. citizens figure out that they will have to seek independence from a government that has turned on its own people and is even now seeking ultimate control.
